Mission StatementSt. Patrick School is a diverse Catholic community centered in Jesus Christ. We work in partnership with parents to prepare our students to become educated and morally responsible citizens.
Welcome!!!
My name is Mr. Marquez and I am the 7th grade teacher. Math and science are two things that I am very passionate about, but social justice is the framework under which I structure all of my classes. I teach from the heart because I have seen education open the doors and change so many lives, including my own. My goals as an educator are to challenge each student to expand their perspectives beyond their own environment, empower students to take control of their own learning and development by establishing an environment built on accountability and responsibility. Students will become fluent in their abilities to analyze, identify, evaluate, define, explain, and critique. I am really excited to become a part of the Saint Patrick Family and will work my hardest to ensure that each student is prepared for the years to come. Before becoming a teacher at Saint Patrick's, I worked as a guest teacher with Hesperia Unified School District, and educational public policy within Los Angeles. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University where I studied Natural Science with a emphasis in Biology and Secondary Education. I am currently a Partners in Los Angeles Catholic Education (PLACE) Corps member and studying to receive my Masters in Educational Studies with an emphasis in urban and special education. Classroom Expectations: 1. Be Responsible 2. Be Respectful 3. Be Safe 4. Be Honest 5. Be Your Best Strategies for Success:
