Viruses and Bacteria
Your class has just finished learning about viruses and bacteria, as well as how to prevent the spread of disease. You wish to learn more about one of these pathogens and think it is important that your classmates understand your argument for studying the virus or bacteria.
- Write a research paper stating your argument or position (thesis).
- Support your argument or position by summarizing your research and citing evidence from your three resources.
- Explain your reasons with specific details.Use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Research Paper: Guiding Questions
Introduction Paragraph
- What is the name of the virus or bacteria that causes this disease? Is it a virus or bacteria?
- When was this disease first discovered? Where in the world or in the U.S., is this pathogen most commonly found? When/where are the most recent outbreaks of the infection?
- How is this disease transmitted?
- What are the symptoms of infection?
- What is the end result of this disease? Do people recover? Is it fatal?
- How do people prevent this disease from spreading?
- What are the treatments for this disease?
- Have there been any major outbreaks of this disease? When? Where? What happened as a result of the outbreak?
- What is the importance of this pathogen today and/or in history? OR Why should people know about this disease?
- What is the future outlook for this disease?
- Will it increase or decrease in the future?

Prayer Assignment
As we enter the season of advent we must refocus our energy and center ourselves.
Step One: Find a prayer on advent
- Do not use google images for a prayer
- Write prayer onto google document. DO NOT paste picture of prayer.
Step Two: Write and reflect upon what the prayer means to you in your life. What about the prayer resonated with you. Why did you chose the prayer.
- Reflection write up must be two paragraphs long.
Step Three: Write your own prayer for advent.
- Prayer must have a minimum of 10 lines
Assignment must be in black type, 12 font, font should be default type (Arial)
Heading must be MLA format
